Announcing a Special Issue of the
IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science
on Spacecraft Charging Technology
(Scheduled for October 2008)
The 10th Spacecraft Charging Technology Conference, Biarritz, France, 18-21 June, 2007, will report on important advances in spacecraft charging, spacecraft discharging, spacecraft anomalies, solar panels, space environmental effects, and computer simulations. The website is at http://www.mediatec-dif.com/sctc/index.html.
Many of the Conference papers will probably be worthy of publication. Spacecraft charging is an important issue. It is important not only to try to understand the basic science of spacecraft interactions with space plasmas, but also to enable eventually the end users, such as spacecraft designers and space electronics engineers, to cope with the problems ahead.
Authors of the Conference are invited to revise and submit their papers for consideration for publication. All papers will be subject to rigorous refereeing and all authors will be asked to pay publication charges.
The deadline for receipt of manuscripts is Jan 1, 2008. Contributors
should submit their manuscripts electronically at the Transactions’ website http://tps-ieee.manuscriptcentral.com.
The manuscript accepted will be sent in to IEEE by July 15, 2008. The guest
editors are as follows:
