Announcing a Special Issue of the IEEE Transactions
on Plasma Science
for Selected Papers from
the
17th International Conference on High-Power Particle Beams (BEAMS2008),
(Scheduled for October 2009)
The next biennial International Conference on High-Power Particle
Beams (BEAMS2008) will be held on July 6 ~ 11, 2008, in Xi’an, China
(http://ifp.caep.ac.cn/beams2008/). This conference will reflect the most recent
developments on the physics and technology of high-power particle beams and
other related topics. It is one of the most important conferences in this field.
The objective of this Special Issue is to bring the most up-to-date developments
reported at BEAMS2008 to the readership of IEEE Transactions of Plasma Science. Although
the BEAMS2008 will publish its own proceedings, this Special Issue will be
restricted to manuscripts that are substantially revised and lengthened from
those of the BEAMS
proceedings. These manuscripts will undergo standard peer-review process typical
for all IEEE Transactions and Journals.

This Special Issue will be restricted to BEAMS2008 attendees only and it will cover the following topics, same as the conference:
